SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the delivery of surface water to approximately 18,000 acres of farm land that is cultivated by 85 farm owners. Applicant must be familiar with a flood irrigation water system, maintaining water structures, maintaining equipment, English/Spanish language, and professional. It is preferable that the applicant have at least 2 years of experience in an irrigation district or on an irrigated farm.

General Manager

SUMMARY: The general manager reports directly to the Board of Directors and plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, financial integrity, and long-term resource stewardship of the District. Specific responsibilities will focus on: providing overall leadership, management, and direction for all District operations; ensuring compliance with federal state and local requirements; assisting the Board with policy development and strategic decision-making; and building and maintaining positive relationships with landowners, governmental agencies, and community stakeholders.

Strategic Account Manager
SALARY: $126k000–$155,000 annually

SUMMARY: Plans and manages the development and implementation of public benefit programs, account management, customer energy efficiency, and quality programs and services. Manages and coordinates Merced Irrigation District’s (MID) efforts to
provide individualized, responsive, high-quality customized service to major and key electric
account customers, assisting in the retention and recruitment of existing and new customers.
Reviews and monitors proposed state and federal energy utility legislation, coordinates analysis and
District responses, and ensures compliance with enacted laws.
